Hyde Park Santa Clause Parade
We love our Hyde Park Community! Help us support the Hyde Park Lions Club and the Hyde Park Business Improvement Association by volunteering with Gateway Cares for the Hyde Park Santa Clause Parade.
We’re looking for volunteers to help organize and manage the float area and to walk alongside the floats along the parade route (west down Gainsborough Rd.). *Please note that if we have a large number of volunteers, not everyone may walk with the Gateway float.
Volunteers should be comfortable walking approximately 2 km.
Dress for the theme — Santa Paws! Wear your favourite animal-themed sweaters, hats, or accessories to join in the fun!

Winter Swap
Saturday, October 18
10 am - 2 pm
Gateway London Campus
Bring the gently used clothing, snowsuits, mittens, boots, outdoor snow play equipment, and books you are ready to part with to the Hyde Park campus by Tuesday, October 14, and then join us on Saturday, October 18 to find the gem you are looking for!
We are looking for winter clothing (kids to adult sizes), toboggans, snowsuits, boots, hats, mitts, ice skates, and books. When donating books, please consider newer titles—fiction, cookbooks, and modern non-fiction—that are in good condition. Think of the kinds of books you’d enjoy picking up today.
We are also looking for volunteers to help organize the items in the week leading up to the swap, as well as on the day of the swap. If you are interested in helping, please click the link below.
* You do not have to donate to participate in the swap on Oct. 18 *

To hike with us , make sure you select “Individual Registration” and on the next page “Join a Team” and choose “Gateway Church” from the drop down.

Student Care Boxes
Help Us Welcome New Students!
Summer isn’t over yet, but Gateway Cares is already looking ahead to the fall as we prepare to bless new students arriving on campus. During Gateway Fest, we’ll be handing out Student Care Boxes to first-year students from Fanshawe College and Western University — and we’d love for you to be part of it!
To join in, simply pick up an empty care box and a list of suggested items from the Connections Desk. Then fill the box with thoughtful goodies for students who may be living away from home for the first time. Think comfort and convenience: Starbucks gift cards, Kraft Dinner, Mr. Noodles, candy, chocolate, pens, pencils, coffee or tea, a travel mug — anything that says “you’re welcome here.”
Please return your filled box to the church by September 1 so we can have them ready to distribute during Gateway Fest on September 7.
Let’s show our students that Gateway cares!
